Joseph “Joe” Charles Critz went to be with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday January 13th, 2021 at the age of 71.
A visitation will be held on Monday, February 8, 2021 from 6 pm to 8 pm at Wade Family Funeral Home, Arlington, Texas. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, February 9, 2021 at 12 pm at Wade Family Funeral Home with Dr. Carroll Marr officiating. A graveside will follow the service at Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery with Reverend Warren Pearson officiating.
Joe was born in North Kingston, Rhode Island on April 28, 1949 to Albert and Helen Critz. Joe served proudly from June 3rd, 1969 to March 3rd, 1973 in the United States Navy. Joe also graduated from University of Texas at Arlington. He worked at the Tarrant County Courthouse for many years where he met and married the love of his life Sharon “Sherry” Wilson. He then worked at CSC/Lockheed Martin until his retirement. Joe was an active member of Southcliff Baptist Church in Fort Worth. He loved being in the choir, was a part of ESL (English as a Second Language, went on many mission trips to various countries, served in the children's ministries and delivered food to others. His church family was a great part of him.
Joe is preceded in death by his parents, Albert Curtis "Dick" Critz Sr and Helen Critz.
He is survived by his wife, Sharon “Sherry” Critz; son, Roger Critz and partner Brenda Kinzler; grandson, Ryder Critz; brother, Al Critz; sisters, Dale Hamilton and husband Dudley, Laurie Walker and husband Thomas “Tom”; as well as several nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, church family and friends.
