Jon "Les" Powell

Jon "Les" Powell, 70, died at his home in Arlington, TX on June 25, 2017 following a long struggle with diabetes. Memorial Service: 3:00 p.m. Friday, June 30 at Wade Family Funeral Home, 4140 W. Pioneer Parkway, Arlington. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association. Born in San Jose, CA in 1947, Les settled in Texas to found Southern States Roofing and Powell Construction with his father, George, and Wild West Comics & Games with his wife, Elaine, and son, Matthew. Les was an avid student of American and world history and enjoyed target shooting, boating and fishing. He was preceded in death by his father, George, and mother, Kaye. Survivors: Les is survived by his wife of 44 years, Elaine, and 2 sons, Chris and Matthew. Wade Family Funeral Home 817-274-9233
