Johnnie Ruth Brown, 90, passed away on Monday, May 17, 2021 in Arlington.
Funeral: 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, May 25, at Fielder Church, 2011 S. Fielder Rd., Arlington. Interment: 1:30 p.m. Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery, Dallas. Visitation: 6-8 p.m. Monday, May 24, at Wade Family Funeral Home, 4140 W. Pioneer Parkway, Arlington.
Johnnie Ruth was born on September 13, 1930 in Mineola, Texas to Johnny William Hines and Rose Lee Wilson Hines. She married James T. Brown on May 25, 1946 (75 years to the date of her burial in DFW National Cemetery.) She along with her husband, were founding members of Fielder Road Baptist Church.
Johnnie Ruth enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She traveled with her husband all over the world but especially cherished their time looking for wildlife in Colorado and picking up sand dollars on the beach in Florida. One of her favorite musicals was “The Sound of Music”.
Johnnie Ruth was preceded in death by her husband, James T. Brown.
Survivors: Children, Jimmy Brown and wife, Karen, Janet Eileen Burks and husband, Dan, and Joe Brown and wife, Judy; 11 grandchildren; and 29 great-grandchildren.
