John Dustin Zimmerman

PANTEGO -- John Dustin Zimmerman, 77, passed away on Saturday, Dec. 7, 2013, in Arlington. Funeral: 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 14, at Wade Family Funeral Home, 4140 W. Pioneer Parkway, Arlington, the Rev. Glen Jenkins officiating. Visitation: The family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Memorials: Memorial gifts may be made to Safe Haven of Tarrant County or the Frost Volunteer Fire Department in Frost, Texas. John was born Jan. 19, 1936, in Wellington, Kan., to Jacob William Zimmerman and Flora Ida Brann Zimmerman. He served in the U.S. Army. John married the love of his life, Donna Edwards, on June 9, 1957, in Parsons, Kan. A resident of Pantego since 1966, he was a former member of Trinity United Methodist Church and currently attended Pantego Bible Church. John worked as a longtime civil engineer and public surveyor. He dearly loved his grandchildren and was an avid reader. Survivors: Beloved wife, Donna Sue Zimmerman; daughters, Cynthia Lou Jackson and husband, Billy, Melissa Gaye Levesque and husband, Steven, Tamera Kay Reed and husband, Marcus; brothers, Jay Zimmerman, Mike Zimmerman; sister, Sylvia Zimmerman; grandchildren, Kendall McKnight, Mathew Dick, Hillary Dick, Jared Levesque and Addison Leigh Reed; and nieces and nephews, Mark Zimmerman, Jill Zimmerman, Ty Theurer, Travis Theurer, Jenny Kellum Lee, Mike Kellum, Laura Kellum Cudd, Elise (Boo) Beresford, Cassie Zimmerman, Randee Zimmerman, Kurt Zimmerman, Mike Smith, Kelly Smith Richey, Leslie Edwards, Sarah Edwards Fitzgerald.
