John W. Montgomery

ARLINGTON -- John W. Montgomery Sr., 66, died Tuesday, March 6, 2012, surrounded by family, at an Arlington hospital. Memorial service: 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 1927 Southwest Green Oaks Blvd., Arlington, Father Phillip Brembah presiding. John was born July 29, 1945, in San Augustine, to Joe and Augusta Montgomery. John an early retiree and was an avid tennis player, hunter and reader. Foremost, he was a husband, father and grandfather who cherished his friends and family. John was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Curtis, Carl and Joe Jr. Survivors: John's memories will forever remain with his wife, Janice Montgomery; sons, John (Dwylett) Montgomery Jr. and Brad Montgomery; sisters, Josephine Hollis, Lillie Goodwin and Dean McCoy; and his grandchildren, Rayce, Grayson and Kellen Montgomery.
