FORT WORTH -- John Ross Shreves, 27, passed away on Monday, June 10, 2013 in Arlington.
Funeral: 11:00 a.m. Saturday at Tate Springs Baptist Church, 4201 Little Rd., Arlington with Rev. Bobby Bridges officiating. Interment: Johnson Station Cemetery, Arlington. Visitation: The family will receive friends on Friday from 6-8 p.m. at Wade Family Funeral Home, 4140 W. Pioneer Parkway, Arlington.
Ross was born on September 12, 1985 in Arlington to Troy Samuel Shreves and Kristi Lea Klinger Shreves. He graduated from Kennedale High School in 2004. Ross was a Kennedale Jr. High School 8th Grade English Teacher and 7th Grade Creative Writing Teacher. He was a member of the Texas Teachers Association and Strength and Stone Powerlifters.
Ross loved Texas Country Music and was a big cut up. He was an artist and an ice cream connoisseur; his favorite's were strawberry and fudge bars.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents, John and Wanda Klinger, and Arvil Shreves.
Survivors: Father, Troy Shreves and wife, Ashley of Plano; mother, Kristi Klinger of Arlington; sisters, Neda Burk of Fort Worth and Sarah Shreves of Arlington; step-brothers, Scotty Smith and Zachary Green; step-sisters, Chelsea Stallings and Ashley Fuller; paternal grandmother, Juanita Shreves; numerous other family members; and a host of friends.
