SOUTHLAKE -- John Nash Wilson VI of Southlake went to be with our Lord on Friday, June 17, 2016, after battling cancer for 18 months. He was encircled by his loving family during his final hours. Celebration of life: 1 p.m. Monday, June 27, at First Baptist Church of Grapevine with Rev. Brent Schneider officiating. John received his engineering degree from SMU in 1961 and commenced his career with Chance Vought where he worked for 37 years on projects such as F-8, A-7, XC-142, ASAT Missile and B-2 as design engineer, chief engineer and functional director. John had three wonderful children by a first marriage: Cyndee Ebeling and Mark, John Wilson VII and Michelle, Wendye Keasler and Steve. John then married Bea Schneider and received two great stepsons: Bryan Schneider and Nicole, and Brent Schneider and Meredith. John accepted the Lord as his Savior and was baptized at First Baptist Church in Grapevine. He enjoyed his family and friends immensely and expressed his love for his grandchildren, Hogan, Kaylee, Lexi, John Nash Wilson VIII, Halle, Asher and Arden by designing and constructing a special treehouse for them. John and Bea, along with their beloved dogs, traveled to every state, along with Canada, in their motorhome. They also enjoyed traveling abroad. They were active in their church through Volunteer Christian Builders along with their civic work supporting the Southlake Police and Fire departments.
