John Michael Tetens

John Michael Tetens Jr, 73, of Arlington, died Thursday, August 6, 2020. Services: A viewing will be held from 6 – 8 pm on Tuesday and services will be 11 am on Wednesday at the Wade Family Funeral Home in Arlington. Burial will be at 1:15 pm at the Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery. He was born to the late John and Gwendolyn Tetens, July 22, 1947, in Lawton OK. John graduated from Rider High School in 1965 and received a BA from OU in 1969 and Masters from UTA. He married Vicki Schenk in 1970 and moved to Arlington TX in 1976. John was the youngest Eagle Scout in Texas, a Major in the US Army, taught ROTC at UTA and worked at Manor for 20+ yrs. He was a devoted Dallas Cowboy fan! He was a lifelong member of the Arlington Elks Lodge and Moose Lodge. Survivors: John is survived by his wife of 50 years Vicki, his two sons: Shawn and Ryan Tetens and 4 grandchildren: Payton, Maya, Brooklyn and Gavin. Wade Family Funeral Home (817) 274-9233
