John Michael Highfill

John Michael Highfill went to be with the Lord on Thursday, August 19, 2021. Visitation with family and friends will be held on Wednesday, August 25 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Wade Family Funeral Home, 4140 W. Pioneer Parkway, Arlington, Tx 76013. The service will be held on Thursday, August 26, 11:00 a.m. at St. Maria Goretti Catholic Church, 1200 S. Davis Drive, Arlington, Tx 76013. Michael was born in Arlington, Texas on October 6, 1966, to Jim and Linda Highfill. Michael enjoyed the outdoors by spending time in the mountains, the Pacific Northwest of Oregon, or simply at home mowing and working in the yard. He was especially proud of his 3 children and all that they have accomplished. He was an excellent writer and, in 1998, became a published author. Michael had a passion for the family business, JMH Printing, but most recently he had devoted his time to Attebury Grain in Saginaw,TX where he worked his way up to night shift lead supervisor. It was hard yet simple work that he truly enjoyed doing. Michael also enjoyed visiting small coffee shops and he had a love for a good ol'e fashion cheeseburger. Other favorites of his included anything that involved motorcycles or BMW's, and he had a special love for cats. Michael was preceded in death by his parents: Jim and Linda Highfill. He is survived by his beloved partner, Michelle; daughters, Mary Macartnee Highfill (Korey) Causey and Madison (Blake) Wade; son, Mason (Audrey) Highfill; their mother, Traci Hatley brother, Milt (Paula) Highfill; grandchildren Harper and Holden; as well as numerous cousins, aunts, uncle and niece and nephew.
