John Martin Stephens, or better known as Marty, was born in St. Louis, Missouri on January 10, 1953. Marty was the second eldest of 4 children born to John Francis and Audrey Stephens. His family moved to California when he was about two years old. He met his wife Pamela Hagopian in high school and married her after graduating from UCLA. They married on March 27, 1976. He and Pam embarked on their life journey, moving first to Duncanville, Texas then to Arlington, Texas where he opened a Kwik Kopy print shop and raised their three children. Marty enjoyed family trips, soccer, tending to his animals, gardening, mentoring young men, and most especially being a Papa. Relationships were very important to Marty; if he knew you, he loved you. Marty had a way of making you feel like you were the most important person to him.
Marty peacefully passed away at 10:17 am on February 13, 2022 surrounded by his family. He will be remembered as compassionate and a kind force in the world. We are all better for having known him. Marty is survived by his wife Pamela Stephens; his son Clint Stephens and his partner Amber Bowers; his daughter Audra Torres and husband Rick Torres; daughter Lauren Wagner and husband Zach Wagner; his grandchildren Madison Boyle, Marshal Torres, Jackson Boyle, Haiden Torres, Maxwell Torres, Milo Stephens, Isaac Stephens, and Everett Wagner; his siblings Susan Smead, Peggy Goodman, and Thomas Stephens. Marty was preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Audrey Stephens and his grandson Clark Wagner.
