John James Russell

John James Russell, 83, of Arlington, Tx, passed away on Friday, February 24, 2017. He will be remembered at a memorial service on Saturday, March 4th at 3:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Wade Family Funeral Home with Reverends Tony Dean and Tony Reichert officiating. Burial will be held at Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery at a later date. John was born on September 2, 1933 to Walter J. and Buelah Launa (Roberts) Russell, in San Angelo, Texas. John had been a resident of Arlington since 1959 and was a member of St. Vincent dePaul Catholic Church. He served in the U.S. Air Force a d a Staff Sergeant and the National Guard during the Korean Conflict. After his service he worked as an engineer in the aerospace Industry, for LTV Corporation until retirement. He was married to the love of his life, Dorothy Ann Linzmaier. John and "Door" (as he affectionately referred to his sweet wife) enjoyed cooking bar-b-que, computers and traveling. John was predeceased by his parents and his wife, Dorothy. John is survived by his daughter, Roberta Suzanne, "Suzi" Reichert and husband, Tony of Bedford; sons, John Robert Goetz and wife, Nikki of Arlington and James William Goetz and wife, Mary of Hurst; 18 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren and 1 on the way.
