In Loving Memory of John Henry Fulkerson
August 7, 1969 – September 21, 2023
It is with great sadness and profound loss that we announce the passing of John Henry Fulkerson, a devoted husband, son, father, and adoring grandfather. John’s journey began in Topeka, Kansas, on August 7, 1969, where he was born to his loving parents, John Fulkerson and Sherry Kuhn.
John was a man of many passions and interests. He possessed a kind and compassionate heart, always eager to lend a helping hand. With a deep affection for animals, he welcomed any opportunity to care for them. This affection extended to his grandchildren, whom he cherished dearly, creating a bond that will forever be remembered.
Sports held a special place in John’s heart, with a particular love for the Kansas City Chiefs football team. He reveled in their victories and stood by them in defeat, forming lasting connections with fellow fans along the way. Fishing was another cherished pastime that allowed him to immerse himself in nature’s serenity and find solace in its peace.
John was known for his infectious laughter and his ability to lighten any room with his quick wit. He wore the proud title of “Meme Lord” within the Facebook Community. Fondly referred to as a “street mechanic,” he possessed an innate talent for tinkering with cars, eagerly helping others with their automotive needs. His expertise extended to mastering the forklift operations, becoming a valued member of the warehouse management team within the logistics industry.
For over 25 years, John resided in the Lone Star State of Texas, where he carved a memorable presence in the lives of those around him. Movie nights were a cherished tradition, with John being an avid movie buff, especially drawn to the captivating worlds of Star Wars and science fiction.
His love of animals and children is a testament to the kindhearted nature that exuded his character.
As we gather to honor and celebrate John’s remarkable life, he leaves behind his beloved wife, Christine Srock, who stood by his side through thick and thin. He also leaves behind his father, John Fulkerson, and his cherished mother, Sherry Paroulek and her husband Mike, sons Tyler Srock and wife Katrina, Brandon Fulkerson, and Alex Srock, and sister Stacy Sewell. He also leaves behind to remember him, grandchildren Andrea, Kale, Ryleigh, Devon, Sawyer, and Ethan, along with his nephew Ethan. Though John’s physical presence may no longer be with us, his spirit will forever endure in the hearts of his family, friends, and loved ones.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial contribution may be made in John’s honor to the Humane Society of North Texas.
