John Everett Kirkpatrick

It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of John Everett Kirkpatrick, age 64, on August 15, 2023. He was born on June 28, 1959, to parents, Joan Upton and James Kirkpatrick. John went on to enlist in the U.S. Army, serving from 1976-1981 and attaining the rank of Specialist.

Spending quality time with his family, attending concerts, watching a game, and riding his Harley to motorcycle events were some of John’s favorite pastimes. He was a proud Delta Airlines employee for more than 26 years, which opened up a passion for travel and exploration with an especially big heart for Hawaii. John was a friend of all animals and we take comfort in knowing that he will be reunited with his cherished dog, Apache, in the warm embrace of Heaven.

John is survived by his wife, Marigay; children Christina (Nick) Giaimo, John (Sarah) Kirkpatrick, Carlos (Angela) Cherigo, Keeling (Aaron) Holsomback, and Marietta (Michael) Reicheneker; grandchildren Matthew, Jarren, Nathan, Lochlyn, Callum, and Tripp; siblings Pam (Julio) Soliz and Jim (Jaicie) Kirkpatrick. He was preceded in death by his sister, Patricia Ann Hernandez.

John will forever be remembered for his unwavering love, kindness, and vibrant spirit. A celebration of his life will held at a future date. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in John’s memory to an animal welfare organization of your choice.
