John Leo Davis Jr

John Leo Davis Jr. 86 of Arlington, Texas passed on Friday September 13, 2024. Born on August 21, 1938, to Leo and Hazel Davis in his grandmother's home in Deer Creek, Texas, he later moved to Arlington as a young adult where he made his home for over 60 years. Mr. Davis graduated from Midway High School in South Clay County before heading to attend Arlington State College and eventually went to work at Wyatt Industries where he was promoted to shop superintendent before he became self-employed as an investor of rental properties for over 40 years He married Arabella Toney on June 22, 1968 in Arlington, Texas at First Baptist Church Arlington where he was a member for over 60 years. Mr. Davis had a passion for working in the preschool and children’s ministries at church. He also loved watching his Midway Falcons play basketball. However, his number one love outside his family was the family farm where he was the third generation to run a cow-calf operation. 

 Mr. Davis was preceded in death by his wife and parents.

 Survivors include ; two sons, Stephen Davis of South Clay County, Texas and Michael Davis and wife Melissa of Arlington, Texas; five grandchildren, Haley, Jordan, Anna, J. and Mark Davis. His brother Tommy Davis of Deer Creek and wife Karen. His niece Kimberly Davis of South Clay County and husband Robert and nephew Freddy Davis and wife Mandy of Nocona, Texas.
