Reverend Joe Phillip Nay, 91, passed away on Friday, June 19, 2020 in Mansfield, Texas.

Joe was born in Borger, Texas on June 8, 1929 to Earl B. and Olive Essie (Roach) Nay.
He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1950 – 1953. After his military service he attended University of North Texas. He was raised a Southern Baptist and initially trained in Southern Baptist Seminary. He has served in the ministry for 49 years. At age 38, he was born again and called into the ministry full time. God's plan did not include a ministry in the Baptist denomination, as he received the infilling of the Holy Spirit and his first three years of ministry was traveling with Kenneth Copeland Ministries. In 1970, Joe Nay Ministries was founded and he was ordained in 1971 by Kenneth Copeland and licensed through ICFM and Tom Underhill Ministries. He began holding meetings all over the United States and in foreign countries.
He pastored for five years before returning to the road ministry. Joe co-authored “Awaken the Genesis Within”.
Joe was a New Testament Prophet, Evangelist and Teacher. He was motivated by love and his passion was to teach and encourage the Body of Christ to be all they are intended to be. He had an intense desire to see God's people fully understand and experience the benefits of the covenant and the Gifts of the Spirit. Mind Renewal was at the center of his teachings.
He was especially impassioned to see the church experience, the fullness of God's grace and love and had a burning desire to see the misconceptions of the offices of the five-fold ministry dispelled so that all members of the Body of Christ had a true understanding of and the function of these offices and their own ministry gifts.
Words of Knowledge, Words of Wisdom, Prophecy and the Gift of Faith flowed freely with the ministry of the Word. Faith was energized and expanded and the spirit man encouraged and empowered to receive all that God has made available to the believer as the Word was preached through this charismatic and dynamic man of God.
Joe will be remembered as a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather with a lifetime of ministry and a Love for the Lord.
He was preceded in death by his parents, former spouse, Joan Nay, brothers, Earl B. Nay, Jr., Bart Nay and sister, Yvetta Hughes.
