Jo was born in 1932 in Beebe, AR to Ozier and Faye Moore. She was the middle child of seven children, raised on a farm in rural Arkansas. Picking cotton and milking cows were her daily duties; the duties that instilled a lifelong value of hard work and diligence. At Beebe High School, she was a cheerleader, spreading that beautiful spirit for 4 years. After high school, she moved to Colorado Springs to live with her brother and sister-in-law, Milo and Eunice Moore.
While working at Fort Carson, she met and married Sid Ramsey. From Colorado Springs, they moved to Gainesville, Texas and then eventually settled in Arlington. During her 30 years serving Arlington as a real estate agent, she won several awards for her dedication to real estate and served on the Board of Realtors.
She was a loving mother to Cyndy and Jenny, mother-in-law to Gary and Ben, grandmother to Julia, Shannon, Kate, Ian, Anna, Malcolm and Calvin, as well as a great-grandmother of five. In her final years, she gained a loving best friend and caregiver, Martha. Her family was her life and every surviving member will carry out her legacy and miss her dearly.
Jo is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Sid Ramsey; brother, Milo Moore; sisters, Artelia Weaver Keyes and Josephine Mills; and granddaughter, Cara Sylvester.
Survivors: Children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sister, Theresa Edwards; brothers, Ozier A. Moore Jr. and wife, Ruth, and Bob Moore; sister-in-law, Eunice Moore; and a host of family and friends.
