Joan Frances Shelton, 74, passed away on Thursday, September 13, 2018 in Arlington. Funeral: 2:00 p.m. Monday, September 17, at Woodland West Church of Christ, 3101 West Park Row Drive, Arlington. Interment: Moore Memorial Gardens, Arlington. Visitation 3-5 p.m. Sunday, September 16, at Wade Family Funeral Home, 4140 W. Pioneer Parkway, Arlington. Joan was born on January 16, 1944 in Deport, Texas to Paul Bowers Russell and Pauline Delphia Turner Russell. She retired from the Arlington ISD after 42 years of service. She was a lifetime member of Woodland West Church of Christ. Joan was known for her sweet smile and her loving heart. Survivors: Beloved husband of 32 years, Howard Shelton; son, Steve Sansing; daughters, Cindy Sims and husband, Jesse, and Karen Johnson and husband, Bryan; grandchildren, Lacie and husband, Jon, Ashley and husband, T.J., Leslie and husband, Brady, Ty and wife, Kim, Gerald, and Stacy and husband, J.T.; and great-grandchildren, Hannah, Caroline, Cadence, Melanie, Rese, Asher, Whitley, Emmy; and 17 step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren.
