Jimmie Miller Gassiot

Jimmie Miller Gassiot, 87, of Kennedale, TX, went to be with his Lord on Friday, April 3, 2020. Jim was born in Mittie, Louisiana on November 6th, 1932 to Marjorie Vogel and Harvey Gassiot. He proudly served his country as a military police officer in the United States Air Force during the Korean war. He met the love of his life Irene Veach and they were married on June 27th, 1952. Jim was a talented mechanic and an avid gardener. He and Irene grew enough produce that they could generously share with friends and family. He most enjoyed getting together with his children and grandchildren and loved taking pictures at family events. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Kennedale. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather and will be greatly missed. He is survived by his wife of 67 years Irene, his daughter Deborah Gassiot of Kennedale, son Randy Gassiot and wife Angela of Fort Worth, son John Gassiot and wife Vanessa of Chico, son Andrew Gassiot and wife Judy of Mansfield, sister Patricia Brooks of Louisiana, grandchildren: Jennifer Zanti (Joe), Regina Saenz (Mathew), Jayson Gassiot (Jessica), Steven Gassiot (Amber), Andrew Gassiot (Olivia), Julia Gassiot, great grandchildren: Julie, Jaquelyn, Jessica, Charlie, Aaron, Alex, Jimmy, Isaiah, Lyla, and Tynlea. He will be laid to rest at DFW National Cemetery with a memorial service to be held at a later date. Wade Family Funeral Home & Crematory 817-274-9233
