Jimmy Mac Worthen, 74, passed away on Thursday, August 6, 2020 in Arlington. A casual, come and go Visitation/Celebration will be Tuesday, August 11, 2020 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Lamar Baptist Church, 1000 W Lamar Blvd., Arlington, TX 76012. The family would love to hear your memories, stories and comments if you would like to share. Jimmy was born on May 27, 1946 in Sulphur Springs, Texas to Lewis Eugene Worthen and Lucille Winfrey Worthen. He proudly served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War. A resident of Grand Prairie for the past 70 years, he was a member of Indian Hills Baptist Church. Jimmy worked as an electronics technician, a job he thoroughly enjoyed. He loved working and staying busy. He enjoyed woodworking and was always fixing, working, or building on something. Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents and sisters, Barbara Stubblefield and Lugene Worthen. Survivors: Loving wife of 52 years, Lynn Swaner Worthen; son, Randy Worthen, and wife, Kristi of Arlington; brother, Winston Worthen and wife, Elaine of Pflugerville; and grandson, Mason Worthen.
