Jimmie Earl Cotter

Jimmie E. Cotter passed away peacefully on February 16, 2024 surrounded by his family.

Jim was born in Fort Worth, Texas on April 22, 1955 to Jimmie Earl Cotter, Sr. and Shirley Margaret Cotter. Jim graduated from Sam Houston High School in Arlington, Texas in 1973. He married his high school sweetheart, Phyllis Nay Cotter in 1974. Jim and Phyllis were married for 49 years.

Jim worked for Bell Helicopter and retired after 30 years.

Jim was preceded in death by his parents Jimmie and Shirley Cotter, his brother Paul David Cotter and many loved ones.

He is survived by his wife Phyllis Cotter, his son Jeff Cotter, his daughter Jennifer Hoffman and husband Josef, his granddaughters Ella and Ava Hoffman, his sisters Becky Hammonds and husband Roy, Cheryl Strunk and husband Kelly, his aunt Elizabeth Reynolds, sister-in-law Trena Milburn and husband Mark, and many nephews, nieces and cousins.

There will be a private family celebration of life.
