Jevan Brian Karnes, a young high school student and aspiring businessman, died unexpectedly on September 1, 2020 at the age of 17.
Jevan's parents are Brian and Catherine Karnes, and siblings are Zoe Moore, Yeira Smith, Leiza Smith, Tovah Smith, Sylar Karnes, Kexton Karnes. Jevan's grandparents are Jack and Beverly Karnes, John Neufeld. Jevan had a large family including multiple nieces, nephews, cousins, and more who love him dearly.
Jevan was born in Arlington, Texas on September 28th and died nearing his 18th birthday. Jevan always wondered what God has planned for him in the future; however, unexpectedly Jevan's future is now with God. Jevan always inspired us with his goals, saying "Someday I want to own a business and always wear a suit. Jevan had a passion for shoes and wished for a wall of shoes. Jevan was also selfless with goals of taking care of his parents and buying them a house, as well as aspiring to be a helpful husband and father.
Jevan was a social butterfly; he was always around his friends or making new ones. Jevan was an avid sports lover, playing football and basketball. If you were close to Jevan you may know how inspiring and motivating he was; he believed in positivity and sharing his light with others. We, his family, are proud of how Jevan stood up for what he believed in and shared his light with the world.
Jevan's funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, September 9, 2020 at Wade Family Funeral Home, 4140 W. Pioneer Parkway, Arlington. Interment: Newton Cemetery, Midlothian. Visitation: 9-11 a.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
