ARLINGTON -- Jesus Manuel Rodriguez went to be with the Lord July 22, 2016. The viewing will be held at Wade Funeral Home Wednesday, July 27, 2016 from 6 to 8pm. Rosary at 7pm. The Funeral Mass will be at St. Vincent De Paul Catholic Church, Thursday July 28, 2016 at 10 am. Graveside to follow at 1:15pm at DFW National Cemetery with full military honors. Jesus, 'Jesse' as known to most, was born October 17, 1943. He joined the United States Marine Corps December 27, 1963. He served his country in Vietnam. He was honorably discharged December 7, 1967. He became the first Hispanic American Legion Commander at Post 19 in Midland, Texas. He spent 32 years working for TXU/Oncor where he retired in 2005. Jesse is survived by his wife of 47 years, Rosalinda and their children, Cynthia and Raymond Long and Christina and Robert Brown, 7 grandchildren, Farris Strambler, Ashley Rodriguez, Kristin Brown, Breanna Brown, Chelsea Hall, Kendra Jackson, and Alyssa Rodriguez, and 4 great grand-children. Also by his mother, Elisa Rodriguez, 7 sisters, Alice and Wayne Osgood, Francis and Marion Guajardo, Caroline and Bobby Duncan, Betty Rodriguez, Lucy Pecina, Gracie Lara, and Melissa Rodriguez, 2 brothers, Oscar and Raymond Rodriguez, and 15 nieces and nephews.
