Grand Prairie -- Jerome LeRoy Bell, 74, passed away on Wednesday, April 24, 2013 in Arlington.
Funeral: 10:00 a.m. Saturday at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 2010 S. Carrier Parkway, Grand Prairie with Bishop Mike Patterson officiating. Interment: Glenwood Cemetery, Ontario County, Geneva, New York. Visitation: The family will receive friends on Friday from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at Wade Family Funeral Home, 4140 W. Pioneer Parkway, Arlington.
Memorials: Memorial gifts may be made to The Boy Scouts of America or Community Hospice at Arlington Memorial Hospital.
Jerry was born on May 31, 1938 in Perry, Iowa to Donald Clyde Bell and Ina Louise Manatt Bell. He was raised in Geneva, New York where he graduated from Geneva High School Class of 1957. Jerry retired as a fencing contractor. He was a Scout Master for BSA in Texas, New York and Utah, and served on the District Committee for the Mountain Lake District. Jerry enjoyed wood carving and wood crafts.
Survivors: Wife of 55 years, Patricia Tills Bell; sons, Brett Gordon Bell and wife, Lisa, Darren Scott Bell and wife Ruth, Cristian Charles Bell; daughters, Gloria Bell Patterson and husband, Mike, Rachel Bell Odom and husband, Kenny; brother, Donald Charles Bell; 10 grandchildren; and 7 great-grandchildren.
