Jeanette Laverne Mikus

Jeanette Laverne Mikus, 95, passed away peacefully on April 14, 2023 in Arlington, Texas.

Born in Round Top, Texas on March 22, 1928 to Walter Paul and Norma Eixmann, Jeanette was baptized on August 12 1928 and confirmed September 8, 1940. She later attended Brantley Draughon Business College and was a member of the NARFE, SPJST and VFW.

Jeanette met James E Mikus and they were married on July 2, 1947 and remained married until his death.

In her free time, Jeanette enjoyed fishing, dominoes and dancing to Polka bands.

Jeanette was preceded in death by her husband James E. Mikus; brother Calvin Eixmann and nephew Les Paul Eixmann. She is survived by sisters Corinne Veteikis and Geri Russell; sister-in-law Bettie Eixmann, nieces Judy Clark and Canice Jones; nephews Mark Veteikis, Curt Veteikis, David Eixmann and Cody Russell and numerous great nieces and nephews in the Eixmann and Mikus families.

Jeanette was loved by many and she will be greatly missed by everyone who knew her.

A visitation will be held for Jeanette at Wade Family Funeral Home, 4140 W Pioneer Pkwy, Arlington, TX 76013 on Tuesday, April 18 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm. A graveside service will be held for Jeanette at the Shelby Cemetery in Shelby, Texas on Thursday, April 20 at 1:00pm with burial to follow.
