Jean Rohde Myers

Jean Rohde Myers, aged 83, passed away on January 19, 2025. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Jean was born on May 22, 1941, in Houston, Texas. She went on to attend the University of Texas at Austin where she met and married Joe on January 26, 1963. Jean received a Bachelor of Science in Home Economics in May of 1963. Jean was an expert seamstress and spent many hours making custom clothing for her precious daughters. 

Throughout her life, she was known for her sweet temperament, devotion to her faith, and passion for helping others. Jean professed her faith at Unity Baptist Church at age 7. Jean joined First Baptist Church Arlington in September of 1963. She was an active member who was involved in WMU, International Friends, teaching in the Youth and numerous other volunteer activities. Jean was ordained as a deacon in 2000.

Jean was a 30-year breast cancer survivor. But more than anything, Jean was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She loved spending time with her daughters, grandchildren, great granddaughter and her many wonderful friends. Jean was an amazing selfless woman that gave everything to her family and friends.

Jean is survived by her loving husband Joe, her daughters, Kathy Davis and Debbie Huffman, her grandchildren, Haley Huffman Greenwood and husband, William, Joshua Davis, Jacob Davis and wife, Karly, great granddaughter Avery Greenwood, sister Nancy Yockel and husband David, brothers David Rohde and wife Judy, Paul Rohde and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. Her memory will be cherished by all who knew her.
