ARLINGTON -- Jan Bentley, owner of Mr. B's Burger Pub, went to be with her Lord and Savior September 1, 2016.
Funeral: 11:00 a.m. Thursday at Wade Family Funeral Home, 4140 W. Pioneer Parkway, Arlington.
Interment: 1:15 p.m. at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery, Dallas, Lane B. Visitation: 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Memorials: The family asks in lieu of flowers to bring an unwrapped toy to be donated to Mission Arlington in her honor.
Jan was born in Binger Oklahoma to Melvin and Wanda McNatt on December 14, 1946. It was there she met the love of her life. She liked to tell the story that she was waiting tables at a café in Binger when a handsome Air Force guy came in. His coffee was a nickel and he tipped her a dime, they have been married 53 years.
Jan loved the Texas Rangers, she was a member of the Texas Rangers Women Club in the 70s. She was also a diehard Oklahoma Sooners fan. Jan was a great cook and loved to make food for her friends and family. She was very generous and was always there to help anyone in need. Family was her life, she was very proud of her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Jan was one of a kind and will be missed by all.
She is preceded in death by her father, Melvin McNatt; granddaughter, Haley Bentley; and sister, Darlene Farrow.
Survivors: Husband of 53 years, Alan Bentley; son, Deric Alan Bentley; daughters, Vicki Serenil and husband, Michael, and Marni Watson and husband, Michael; mother, Wanda McNatt; sisters, Melva Whitfield and husband, Brice, and Debbie Stufflebeam and husband, Gilbert; grandchildren, Corey Hinton, Darcee Fletcher and husband, Jason, Ryan Watson and wife, Claire, Colton Watson, Cody Nunez, and Cameron Nunez; great-grandchildren, Katch, Miles and Juliette.
