Janice Diane Chancelor

December 29, 1942 — May 21, 2024

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Janice Diane Chancelor on May 21, 2024 in Arlington, Texas.

Janice Diane Chancelor was born on December 29, 1942 in Dallas, Texas. After graduating from South Oak Cliff High School, Diane soon married her High School sweetheart Paul Chancelor in February of 1962. They had two beautiful sons and later moved to Arlington/Grand Prairie to raise them.

Diane was employed by Manheim Auto Auction for over 13 years while holding the title of Wife and Mother of the year for several of those years.

Diane was a tiny but mighty lady that was full of love for her Pauly whom she had known since the second grade. She adored spending time with her family and reveled in being asked to bring her famous fried chicken, twice baked potatoes, and blackberry crisp. Diane also enjoyed spending time in her yard and loving-on her dogs. She truly loved attending Sunday School Class at Lamar Baptist Church and sharing her faith and love for the Lord with class members that became more like family to Paul and her.

Diane was preceded in death by Father Henry Durwood and Clara Combs.

She is survived by husband Paul Chancelor of 62 years; sons Chris Chancelor and his wife Robyn; son Kelly Chancelor and his wife Gina; grandson Kiefer Chancelor and his fiancé Katelyn Trotter; granddaughter Kali McEachern and her husband Caleb; grandson Tanner Chancelor and his wife Julia; grandsons Alex Chancelor, Joshua Emeneger and Blaine Barlow; great grandchildren Luke, Maddy and Gentry McEachern and sister Delaine Berna and her husband Andy.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you consider making a gift donation in Honor of Diane Chancelor to the Muscular Dystrophy Association (click here to donate now).
