Janet was born in Lubbock, Texas in 1952. After bouncing around a while, her family settled in Mustang, Oklahoma. This became home. She graduated from high school there and graduated from Oklahoma State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in education. She taught elementary and middle school children most of her life. She met and married Marc Oglesby in 1983 who whisked her off to Arlington, Texas. She raised Craig and Wesley Oglesby with Marc starting in 1985.
She co-labored with Marc in making disciples, listening to the Lord's heart and coming along side many students and young women. One of her life passages is Romans 15:1-7 "...Now may the God who gives perseverance and encouragement grant to you to be of the same mind with one another according to Christ Jesus, ...Therefore accept one another, just as Christ also accepted us to the glory of God." She became single-minded in loving people and praying for all she came in contact with.
Janet was preceded in glory by her parents, E.Q. and Lou Ella Fitzgerald.
Survivors: Janet is survived by her husband of 35 years, Marc Oglesby; 2 sons, Craig Oglesby (Heather) and Wesley Oglesby (Chelsea); brother, Craig Fitzgerald (Tami); sister, Mollie Babb (Brad); grandchildren; niece, Paige Barefoot (Chad); nephews, Taylor Babb (Stephanie), Garrett Babb (Elizabeth), and Grant Fitzgerald; and a great host of relatives and friends.
