Norma Jane King, 86, peacefully passed away Friday, August 30, 2019.
Graveside Service: 11:00 a.m. Friday, October 11 at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Parkway, Dallas, Texas 75211, Lane 1.

Jane was born in Texarkana, Arkansas and grew up in Atlanta, Texas. She attended Centenary College, University of Texas at Arlington and Texas Woman's University. Jane earned a Master's Degree and worked for the Texas Highway Department, Turnpike Authority, UTA, Arlington ISD, and as a librarian for the City of Arlington. She was an active member of the Arlington Women's Club, DAR, Zeta Tau Alpha and First United Methodist Church. Jane and her husband, Buddy, were married on November 13, 1954 and moved to Arlington in 1957. During her free time, Jane enjoyed reading and spending time with family and friends!
Jane was preceded in death by her husband of fifty-six years, James E. King, Jr.; parents, John Shelby Ament, Jr. and Louise Carney Ament.
Survivors: Daughter, Mary King Hughes and husband, Kenneth; grandson, Preston King Hughes; brother, John S. Ament, III and wife, Beverly; Nephews, Jason Ament and Jeremy Ament; and numerous other family members and friends.
