James Madison Pierce passed away August 27, 2017 in Fort Worth. Visitation: 6-7 p.m. Monday, September 4, 2017 at Wade Family Funeral Home, 4140 W. Pioneer Parkway, Arlington. Funeral: 7 p.m. Monday, September 4, 2017 at Wade Family Funeral Home. Interment: 3 p.m. Tuesday, September 5, 2017 in Fashing Cemetery, Campbellton. James was born April 10, 1930 in Flint, Michigan to Fred A. Pierce and Lucy Rusaw Pierce. He served in the United States Navy during the Korean Conflict. James lived in the Pasadena and Houston area for many years. He retired after working for the Pasadena ISD. A resident of Tarrant County since 2005, he moved to this area after his wife passed away. James attended Baptist church and was a Mason for many years. He was preceded in death by his wife, Frances L. Hierholzer Pierce; one brother; and six sisters.
