James Vivian "JV" Jackson, 80, passed away Sunday, August 6, 2017.
Funeral: 12:00 noon Friday, August 11, at Wade Family Funeral Home, 4140 W. Pioneer Parkway, Arlington.
Interment: 2:15 p.m. Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery, Dallas.
Visitation: 6-8 p.m. Thursday, August 10, at the funeral home.
Jim was born April 13, 1937 in Soso, Mississippi to Robert and Bessie Jackson.
Jim served in the US Army from 1955 to 1961 in the military police. In 1968, Jim went to work for the Federal Bureau of Prisons and remained until he retired in 1994.
Jim is preceded in death by his daughter Stacie and his siblings Ruth, Juanita, and Clyde.
Survivors: Jim is survived by the "Love of his Life" of 34 years, Norma Jackson; his children, Janet Hicks, Michael Jackson and his wife, Sherri, Ricky Jackson, Michael Crossan and his wife, Christi; his grandchildren, James Michael, Krystal, Bailey and her husband, Daniel, Seth, Skylar, Rachele, Alexis and Cody; and great-grandchildren, Natalie, Tyler, and Vivian; and siblings, Robert Jackson, Jr., Hellen Windham, and Delvin Ray Jackson.
