ARLINGTON -- James Schuyler Shelley III, 63, passed away on Friday, Jan. 11, 2013, in Arlington. Memorial: 2 p.m. Tuesday at Wade Family Funeral Home Chapel, 4140 W. Pioneer Parkway, Arlington. Memorials: Memorial gifts may be given to the charity of one's choice. James was born on May 13, 1949, in Gunter to James Shelley Jr. and Betty Chiles Shelley. He was raised in Mansfield and graduated from Mansfield High School. James served in the U.S. Marine Corps and was a veteran of the Vietnam War. A resident of Arlington for the past 25 years, he worked in construction. James was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Eva Sue Bosquez. Survivors: Wife, Catherine Shelley; sons, James S. Shelley and James Korey Lambert; daughters, Sherry Newsome and Jami Leigh Shelley; brothers, Robert Shelley, Byron Shelley and Keith Shelley; nine grandchildren; and one great-grandson.
