If there’s one thing you can say about James (who we all call Bubba) Prochaska, it’s that there was never a dull moment with him around. If you were in an elevator with complete strangers, he would talk to them.
There were countless times complete strangers would call his name at any resort where he was staying.
He was born to loving parents, Robert and Marian Prochaska. He was the youngest of five. His late mother Marian routinely told the family the happiest year of her life was the year James went to kindergarten!
He had so many friends through the years that he met through work – including at Skaggs, Wonder Bread and FedEx.
It was his job at American Airlines that left him the most fulfilled. It left him the time and the means to travel the world. Just in the last few years – he got to snorkel in the Great Barrier Reef, hike to the ancient city of Petra and swim with dolphins in the Amazon.
His favorite place, though, was Mexico. He never missed an opportunity to head to Cozumel to snorkel, relax on the beach or rent a questionable moped.
He leaves behind his son and frequent travel companion Justin, his father, Robert, his brothers, George and Jerry, and his sister, Susan.
He’ll join his wife of more than 30 years Cynthia, his beloved mother, Marion and his brother Michael in heaven.
He’ll be missed – not just because of his personality but because of the immense love he gave everyone he met.
RIP.
