James "Mike" Michael Douglas

James Michael “Mike” Douglas, 68, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 26, 2018. Memorial Service: 11:00 a.m. Monday, October 1, at Wade Family Funeral Home, 4140 W. Pioneer Parkway, Arlington. Visitation: Visitation: 3-5 p.m. Sunday, September 30, at the funeral home. Mike was born July 10, 1950 in Brownwood, Texas to Tommy Douglas and Olene Powell. He married Leah Nobra on July 6, 1991. He graduated from Arlington High School, and University of Texas at Arlington Business School. Mike worked more than 25 years in the finance and insurance business. He was dedicated to his career and that dedication showed in his commitment to every job he took on. Mike was a sports fanatic, no matter if he was playing softball, watching and coaching his girls or watching his grandkids play he loved every minute. Mike was preceded in death by his father, Tommy Douglas; mom, Olene Powell; step-father, Jake Powell; and sister, Cheryl Franks. Survivors: Leah Douglas, loving wife; children: Carey and Jason Adams, Casey and Todd Williams, Madeline and Fernando Pineda, Tori Liverman; brothers: Terry Douglas and Craig Powell; grandchildren: Connor Adams, Addison Adams, Whitney Williams, Mia Pineda; numerous nieces and nephews and their families who loved him dearly.
