ARLINGTON -- James Lowell "Scout" Loyd, 76, passed away Saturday, Dec. 19, 2015. Graveside service: 2 p.m. Wednesday in Parkdale Cemetery, Arlington. Visitation: 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday at Wade Family Funeral Home, 4140 W. Pioneer Parkway, Arlington. Scout was born Dec. 19, 1939, in Fort Worth to Ponder McFaddin Loyd and James Roland Loyd. He was employed at age 16 by Austin Bridge Co., where he continued to work until his retirement in 2004 as a crane operator. He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, H.D. Loyd. Survivors: Wife, Carmaleta Bishop Loyd; daughter, Deirdre Loyd Hollaway and husband, Brad; grandson, Brady Loyd Hollaway and wife, Amanda; granddaughter, Whitney Hollaway Burge and husband, Matt; sister, Betty Loyd Rosson and husband, Johnny; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
