ARLINGTON -- James "Jim" Stephen Grimm, 69, passed away on Thursday, Nov. 27, 2014, in Arlington.
Funeral: 11 a.m. Tuesday at Wade Family Funeral Home, 4140 W. Pioneer Parkway, Arlington, with Deacon Al Evans officiating. Interment: 1 p.m. Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery, Dallas, Lane A. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Jim was born on July 25, 1945, in Pittsburgh, Pa., to Stephen Christian Grimm and Audrey Ingoldsby Grimm. He was a retired U.S. Air Force senior master sergeant and pilot instructor with United Airlines. An Arlington resident for the past six years, he lived in Denver, Colo., for 20 years and California prior.
Jim enjoyed sports and was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan; as well as NASCAR, airplanes, street rods and antique cars.
He was preceded in death by his parents and son, Gary Easterday Jr.
Survivors: Wife, Peggy Grimm; daughter, Susan Rose and husband, Paul; son, Kevin Easterday; brother, Phillip Grimm (late wife, Joyce); sister, Barbara Doherty (late husband, Michael); grandchildren, Lauren, Austin, Brandi, Mackenzie, Madison; and six nieces and nephews.
