James Edward Robertson

ARLINGTON -- James Edward "Robbie" Robertson, 74, passed away on Friday, Nov. 13, 2015, in Arlington. Memorial service: 1 p.m. Wednesday at St. Peter and St. Paul Anglican Church, 3900 Morris Lane, Arlington 76016, with Father Tom Hightower officiating. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Wade Family Funeral Home, 4140 W. Pioneer Parkway, Arlington. Memorials: Memorial gifts may be made to St. Peter and St. Paul Anglican Church. Robbie was born on Sept. 1, 1941, in Dallas to James William Robertson and Rhudell Leslie Thompson Robertson. He married Joanna Barrett on June 15, 1968, in Dallas. An Arlington resident for the past 47 years, he was a member of St. Peter and St. Paul Anglican Church. Robbie retired as director of Human Resources at Wadley Blood Bank, Morton Cancer Research Hospital, in Dallas. He enjoyed coaching Little League, baseball and football and spending time with his grandchildren. Robbie loved his family; his grandchildren were the apples of his eye. Survivors: Wife, Joanna Roberton; sons, Craig Robertson and wife, Courtney, and Kyle Robertson and fiance', Cori; daughter, Kimby Padgett and husband, Jason; sister, Gale Melton; grandchildren, Allison Paige, Alli, Emilee, Landry and Jamie; sisters-in-law, Jeneane and Jerry McKibben, and Barbara and Charles Schroeder.
