James Don Lemley, 75, passed away Sunday, February 17, 2019 in Arlington.
Visitation: The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Monday, February 25, 2019 at Wade Family Funeral Home, 4140 W. Pioneer Parkway, Arlington.
Funeral: 11 a.m. Tuesday, February 26, 2019 at Wade Family Funeral Home, 4140 W. Pioneer Parkway, Arlington.
Interment: 1:15 p.m. Tuesday, February 26, 2019 in Dallas/Fort Worth National Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Parkway, Dallas, Lane 2.
James was born April 8, 1943 in San Diego to James Thurman Lemley and Imogene Herrington Lemley. He accepted Christ at very young age. James was a graduate of Clute High School in Clute, Texas. He entered the US Army on September 6, 1962 and was honorably discharged December 10, 1963. James was affectionately known as Dad, Poppy, Pops, PaPa James, Mr. James and of course Honey.
Survivors: Wife, Eva Lemley; 2 sons, Donald Lemley and Anthony Thomas; 2 daughters, Tammy Powers and La Kecia Thomas; 1 sister, Susan Singleton; 1 brother, Terry Michael Lemley; 3 granddaughters, Samantha Powers, Jasmine Thomas and Valarie Lawrence; 1 grandson, Anthony Thomas Jr.; 2 nephews, James Singleton and David Singleton; 2 great-nephews; mother of his children, Marilyn Lemley; very special friend, Lillie Shores; and a great host of relatives and friends.
