James Bernard Griffin

James Bernard “Jim” Griffin passed away very suddenly on Monday January 15, 2018 after extreme diabetic complications. Jim was a loving husband to Darleen Griffin for thirty years. He was a wonderful father to son Devin William Griffin, and adored his grandson Declan. Jim had a passion for God's word, he loved sharing the Good News. As a proud member of the 501st Legion, Jim enjoyed trooping for charities and children in his Star Wars costumes. Jim had been in the Information Technology industry for many years and was admired and respected by many colleagues. Jim was a talented guitarist and played in many bands over the years. Jim is survived by his wife, Darleen, son Devin and wife Jesse and grandson Declan Griffin; beloved mother Patricia Gardner and husband Tom; brothers Sean Griffin and Don Carlton; and sisters Cheryl Ponder and Pam Griffin and their families. Services will be held at Wade Funeral Home in about three weeks, once Jim's son Devin graduates US Air Force basic training.
