Jairo E. Cardozo

Jairo E. Cardozo was born in Barranquilla, Colombia on May 28, 1970. Following his move to Atlanta, GA he enrolled in the US Army in 1990 where he received over 10 decorations and medals, including the National Defense Service Medal. Jairo was honorably discharged in 1991. Following his service, Jairo received his Bachelors of Industrial Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology, and later received his Masters of Finance from Southern Methodist University. Jairo worked as an engineer for over 20 years and travelled to over 15 countries over his life. Jairo and his wife, Angela, welcomed their son Liam on April 10, 2014. Jairo and Liam’s bond is everlasting and inexplicable. 

Jairo is survived by his son Liam, his wife Angela, his mother Haydee, his brothers Pedro, Antonio, Jose, Julio, and Mario, his sister Orieth, his nephews Pedro, Jose Joaquin, Julio, Jose Francisco, and Mario, and his nieces Eva, Maria, Gladys, Rebecca, Jasmine, and Melodie. 

Jairo’s memorial service will be held at the First United Methodist Church in Arlington, TX at 10:00am on Saturday, January 21, 2023.
