Jack Hairrell was born on April 28, 1932, to George and Mae Hairrell, both of whom are now deceased. He is survived by one brother, Bob Hairrell, and two sisters, Peggy Tomlin and Barbara Jean Hairrell, both of whom have also passed.
Jack graduated from high school and later married Wilma Ellen Vaughan, who preceded him in death. Together, they had six children: Melvin Hairrell (deceased), Mary Hagler, Debra Fuqua, Diana Sorrels, Roger Hairrell, and Randy Hairrell.
He was also a proud grandfather to 11 grandchildren: Michael and Tony Hairrell, Blake and Brian Hagler, Chad and Adam Fuqua, Laura and Keith Sorrels, Jeremy and Audrey Hairrell, Jordan Hairrell, James and Alysha Ford, and Logan Bowen. Jack was blessed with 16 great-grandchildren.
Jack worked as an electrician at Bell Helicopter until his retirement. A dedicated member of the Church of Christ, he served as an elder and was very active in the church community.
In his leisure time, Jack enjoyed camping, hunting, attending country western shows, listening to country music, and traveling in his RV. He was known for his loyalty, strong work ethic, and "do-it-yourself" mentality. Above all, Jack cherished his family and was deeply committed to them.
His legacy as a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and elder will always be remembered by those who knew him.
