Jack Webster Thompson, 90, passed away on Thursday, August 11, 2022 in Arlington.
Memorial Service: 2 p.m. Friday, August 26, at Wade Family Funeral Home, 4140 W. Pioneer Parkway, Arlington.

Jack was born on December 20, 1931 in Dallas to Louise Davis. He was adopted and raised by Scott Thompson. He married the love of his life, Ann Shenkir on January 28, 1956. He served in the U.S. Navy. Jack was a computer guy who received his degree from UTA. He worked for Burroughs Corporation and the Dallas ISD consulting and programming.
Jack was a man of faith and always studied the bible. He had a servants heart and loved to serve others. He was very involved with Hearts and Hands, a ministry that seeks to serve those who need help with food or clothing. His Woodland West Church of Christ family meant the world to him.
Jack was passionate about music and dance. He was very musically gifted and could play the piano. He loved to dance with his wife, Ann. He could “cut a rug”. Jack loved boating and cruising around. He was an avid Dallas Mavericks fan. He was fun to be around and loved to tell jokes. He will be dearly missed by all those who knew and loved him.
Jack was preceded in death by his adoptive father, Scott Thompson; wife, Ann Thompson; and sons, Jack Thompson Jr. and Greg Thompson.
Survivors: Son, Scott Thompson and wife, Andrea, daughter-in-law Joanie Collins Thompson; grandchildren, Josh and wife, Cindy, Jason, Sarah; great-grandson, Julian; daughter-in-law, Joanie Collins Thompson; sisters-in-law, Ruth Keith, Norma Tucker and their families; and a host of friends.
