Jack E. DeVlieger, 62, formerly of Illinois, passed away peacefully in his home on June 21, 2024. Jack was a devoted provider for his family and a dedicated employee of the City of Arlington and City of Fort Worth, where he was well respected by his peers and coworkers.
Jack’s loving and caring nature endeared him to all who knew him. His quick wit and humor kept everyone on their toes and brought joy to many. He fought the good fight against cancer with courage and resilience.
Jack leaves behind his beloved wife of nearly 40 years, Lisa DeVlieger, and his cherished children: Annalisa Sims (Clay), Jacquelyne Miles (Austin), Joshua DeVlieger, and Isaiah DeVlieger (Laura). He is also survived by two of his siblings, Vicky (Randy) and Roy, and his 10 treasured grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Ron, his mother, Donna, and his brother, Kenny. Jack’s memory will live on in the hearts of his family and friends. He will be dearly missed and always remembered for his loving heart, quick humor, and unwavering support for his loved ones.
Visitation: 5-8 p.m. Friday, June 28, at Wade Family Funeral Home, 4140 W. Pioneer Parkway, Arlington. Funeral Service: 10 a.m. Saturday, June 29, in the chapel at the funeral home. Private Interment: Wortham Bend Cemetery, China Spring.
