ARLINGTON -- Jack Clifford Brady, 85, peacefully passed into God's loving arms on Monday, March 11, 2013, after battling health issues for more than two years. Service: A celebration of Jack's life will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at North Davis Church of Christ, 1601 N. Davis Drive Arlington. Interment: 3 p.n. in Haven of Memories, Canton. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Wade Family Funeral Home, 4140 W. Pioneer Parkway, Arlington. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, donations in Jack's memory may be made to the Hearts and Hands Outreach at North Davis Church of Christ, Arlington, Texas. Jack Clifford Brady was born on Sept. 6, 1927, to Roy Clifford Brady and Margaret Puckett Brady in Dallas. Jack had a full and wonderful life. He enlisted in the Navy in 1942 at the age of 15. While in the Navy for 8 years, he proudly served in the South Pacific during World War II. On Oct. 15, 1947, Jack married the love of his life, Evelyn Heidle. Their union continued for more than 64 years. Jack received a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from Texas A&M University in 1957 where he placed second in his class. He obtained his master's in engineering from SMU - but in his heart he was always an Aggie! His professional life accomplishments included positions at Sandia Corp., General Dynamics, Mobil Oil, LTV and Vought Corp. Jack was a faithful member of North Davis Church of Christ for more than 45 years. He was involved in the Jail Ministry at the Tarrant County Jail for 10 years and was a leader at Mission Printing for 10 years. Jack was a brilliant, handsome, hardworking man with a great sense of humor who was devoted to his family and the Lord. Survivors: Jack leaves behind to cherish his memories wife, Evelyn Brady; daughters, Vicki Brady and Debbie Sanders; son-in-law, Jim Sanders; sister, Eleanor Kamperman; brothers and sister-in-laws, Bill and Linda Brady, Jimmy and JoAnn Brady, David and Pat Brady; grandchildren, Lance Sanders, Jesse Brady, Larin Sanders and Heather Tidmore; and many nieces, nephews and close friends.
