Ingrid K. Bozarth

A graveside service for Ingrid K. Bozarth, 84, of Arlington, Texas, will be 10:00 AM on May 10, 2023 at the Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery in Dallas. Ingrid passed away with her family by her side on April 10, 2023 in Arlington, Texas.

She was born Ingrid Kringstad to Hans Kringstad and Ellen Mueller Kringstad on July 6, 1938 in Stavanger, Norway. Ingrid grew up with two brothers and one sister. She met her first husband, Jack Thompson, in Norway where he was stationed with the Air Force. The Air Force took them to Nebraska where a son Erik was born in 1959. The Air Force took them back to Norway and the family grew with the birth of daughter Susanne in 1961. After their return home to the US they moved around the country with Jack’s career until settling in Texas in 1973. Jack passed away in 1987. In 1994 Ingrid married James Bozarth and they were together until his passing in 2012.

Ingrid was a hair dresser for almost 60 years and had several clients for over 50 years. At home she was meticulous in the care, design, and decorating of her home and flower gardens. She was very kind, gentle, totally non-judgmental, upbeat, and fun. She enjoyed her local Norwegian friends and especially her friends in her wine club. She also enjoyed snow skiing in New Mexico and Colorado very much and went as often as possible until she was well into her 70’s.

Ingrid’s family includes brothers Hans Ulrich and Knut, sister Else, daughter Susanne and her husband Bob, son Erik and his wife Mary Lou, grandchildren Peyton, Edward and his wife Corinne, Kristine and her husband Eliot, three great-grandchildren Samuel, Lucy, and Jane, and numerous nieces and nephews.
