Idadell Patterson

ARLINGTON -- Idadell Patterson, 78, passed away peacefully with her daughter at her side on Friday, May 30, 2014, in Fort Worth. She is joyfully remembered by her friends and family as a happy and generous soul who lifted the spirits of all around her with heartwarming songs and smiles. Funeral: 11 a.m. Thursday at Wade Family Funeral Home, 4140 W. Pioneer Parkway, Arlington. Visitation: The family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Idadell was born Sept. 12, 1935, in Farmersville to Eddie Buell and Laura Woodard Jackson. She was a longtime Arlington resident and retired teacher for the Arlington ISD, spending most of her career at Wimbish Elementary. Idadell loved teaching as well as traveling with her friends, spending time with her granddaughter Makena, and participating in the Arlington Women's Club. She was preceded in death by husband, Walter Hale Patterson, in 2010; sisters, Melba Gooch and Barbara West; and brother, Gene Jackson. Survivors: Son, Trent Patterson; daughter, Kellie Patterson; sister, Dixie Eller; granddaughter, Makena Danielle Patterson.
