Hunter Walter Hughes

Hunter Walter Hughes, 70, passed away on Saturday, December 3, 2016 in Mansfield. His life will be celebrated with a memorial service on Saturday, December 10th at 11:00 a.m. at Bethesda Community Church of Fort Worth, Texas. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Ft. Hunter was born in Blytheville, Arkansas on January 27, 1946 to Velma Louise Mullins and Hunter Walter Hughes. He was a graduate of Arlington High School in 1964, and attended Arlington State College. On April 29, 1967, he married Susan Elizabeth Schaefer at First Baptist Church in Arlington, Texas. Hunter was a Heating/AC, Electrical Contractor and owned Hughes Mechanical and Electrical Contractors for 47 years. Hunter is survived by his wife of 49 years, Susan S. Hughes; one son, Chris Hughes and wife, Lesley; one brother, James Wesley Hughes; four grandchildren, McKenna Hughes, Hunter Hughes, Landry Leatherwood and Lawson Leatherwood. He was preceded in death by his parents, Velma Louise and Hunter Walter Hughes, a daughter, Rheagan Rhea Hughes Leatherwood; grandson, Landon Leatherwood and sister, Madora Haltom.
