Hugh Charles “Charlie” McDonald, 84, passed away on March 11, 2019 in Burleson . Graveside Service: 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 20, at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery, Dallas with honors. Visitation: 6-8 p.m. Friday, March 15, at Wade Family Funeral Home, 4140 W. Pioneer Parkway, Arlington. Charlie was born on July 6, 1934 in De Queen, Arkansas to Hugh Elgin McDonald and Ruth Wiggins McDonald. He served as a U.S. Army Sergeant and was a member of the V.F.W. Riders of American Legion Post 569. A resident of Fort Worth for the past 50 years, he worked as a machinist in the Defense Industry. Survivors: Son, David McDonald and wife, Kristi; daughter, Michelle Whitney and husband, Waylon; grandchildren, Liam McDonald, Keelan McDonald, Declan Whitney and Aubrey Whitney.
