Hoye Wayne Harris

ARLINGTON -- Hoye W. Harris, 73, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, Sept. 7, 2016, at home in Arlington. Graveside service: 1 p.m. Wednesday in Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Parkway, Dallas, Lane A. In keeping with the wishes of Hoye, there will be no funeral services. The family is grateful for the condolences, but declines flowers and donations. Hoye was born May 1, 1943, in Fort Worth to Herman and Faye McFadin Harris. He attended and graduated from Azle High School. He married Marsha Harris on June 24, 1978. Hoye was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and was retired from Bell Helicopter. He loved his work and also enjoyed building car engines. He was preceded in death by his parents; and his son, Michael Harris. Survivors: Hoye is survived by his wife, Marsha; children, Michele Payne, Amanda Coulter and James Harris; grandchildren, Ricky Payne Jr., Lloyd Payne and Thomas Payne; great-grandchildren, Trey Payne and William Payne Jr.; and brother, Raymond Harris.
