Hortencia Grande Flores passed away on January 10, 2021 at the age of 67, in Arlington, Tx. She was a caring wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Even though the Lord took her away from this world, we rejoice that she is now at peace in Heaven.
Hortencia was born in Zacatlancillo, Estado de Guerrero, Mexico on June 13, 1953. She loved her family greatly, was fun, loyal, witty and took pride in her hard work that was second to none. Following in her parents' footsteps, Hortencia was an accomplished self-owned business woman, operating “Provencia” for over sixteen years. She enjoyed fashion, novelas, Tejano music, indulging in chile rellenos, pozole, chocolate, and coffee. Hortencia was the beloved wife of Adolfo Flores for 33 years, who supported her in all her glory until their last days together. She brought immense quality to our lives and will leave a never-ending void. Her words of encouragement, wisdom, and comfort, kept us in line, and gave us something to pass down to our children.
Hortencia is predeceased by her parents, Reynaldo Grande and Josefina Alvarez. She is survived by her husband Adolfo Flores; seven children: Eddie Pereyda, Erika Reyes, Teresa Jantz, Freddy Torres, Linda Grande, Hortencia Flores, Custodia Benavidez; and seventeen grandchildren: Cristian, Stephany Pereyda, Billy Reyes, Bryan Reyes, Jasmine Reyes, Gabriel Reyes, Isaac Jantz, Zak Jantz, Emilie Torres, Ronin Torres, Jasline Vasquez, Ellie Ayala, Matthew Ayala, Xavius Perez, Isela Perez, Louie Benavidez, Leon Benavidez.
